How to Request Account Deletion
To request deletion of your Journist account, please follow these steps:
- Send an email from your registered email address to: app.journist.ai@gmail.com
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include your account information in the email body (username or registered email address)
Important: The deletion request must be sent from the email address registered with your Journist account. This is required for identity verification purposes.
Identity Verification
For your security, we can only process deletion requests that come from the email address associated with your account. This ensures that only the legitimate account owner can request deletion.
If you no longer have access to your registered email address, please contact us at app.journist.ai@gmail.com for assistance with alternative verification methods.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When your account deletion request is processed, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:
- Your account profile and personal information
- All journal entries and content you have created
- User preferences and settings
- Any uploaded media or files associated with your account
- Your usage history and activity data (except logs required for legal retention)
Deletion Timeframe
Once we receive and verify your deletion request, your account and associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion process has been completed.
Legal Data Retention
Please Note: Some information, such as security logs and transaction records, may be retained for up to 90 days as required by law, legal obligations, fraud prevention, or to resolve disputes. This data will be stored securely and deleted at the end of the retention period.
